1. Introduction
ArtistBaazi ("we", "us", "our") operates the ArtistBaazi Circle community platform at artistbaazi.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our website, attend our virtual events, or interact with the ArtistBaazi Circle community. By using the platform you agree to this policy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information:
- Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), profile photo.
- Artist profile data: stage name, genre, city, bio, social links (Instagram, YouTube, Spotify, etc.), uploaded music previews, performance history.
- Audience profile data: name, email, optionally city and music preferences.
- Payment information: for Circle+ subscribers, payment metadata processed by our payment processor (Razorpay). We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
- Event participation data: applications, attendance, votes, tips, referrals.
- Communication data: messages you send to us, responses to our emails.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information, basic usage analytics.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate the platform, process performance and audience applications, send event invites and updates, deliver Circle+ benefits to paying members, communicate with you about your account, process tips and payments, prevent fraud, and improve the service. We do not sell your personal data.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party processors:
- Supabase: database, authentication, and file storage.
- Razorpay: payment processing for Circle+ memberships and artist tips.
- Google OAuth: optional sign-in via your Google account.
- Apple Sign-In: optional sign-in via your Apple ID.
- Spotify oEmbed: embedding your Spotify tracks on your artist page.
- Email delivery provider: transactional and notification emails sent via notification.artistbaazi.com.
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy. We only share with them the minimum data needed for their function.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, payment records under tax law) or to resolve disputes.
6. Your Rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000, you have the right to access your personal data, correct inaccuracies, request deletion, withdraw consent, and grieve. To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@artistbaazi.com.
7. Cookies
We use minimal cookies — primarily a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. Some embedded content (e.g. Spotify, YouTube) may set their own cookies when loaded.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and row-level access controls. No system is perfectly secure; if you become aware of a vulnerability, please notify us immediately.
9. Children
ArtistBaazi Circle is intended for users aged 13 and above. Circle+ paid memberships require users to be 18 or above. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
10. Jurisdiction and Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the IT Act 2000 and the DPDP Act 2023. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email to registered users. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent version.
